Does a 4x6 Trailer Need to Be Registered in Louisiana?

    Trailer Definition

    • This is also a single vehicle without a motor designed to carry passengers or property. It supports its own load and relies on a motor vehicle for transport only. It has at least two load carrying axles.

    Title and License Plate

    • Once registered, the trailer would also need to be titled in the registered owner's name. A license plate would also be issued based on the trailer's classification and gross maximum weight.
