- 1). Park the pop-up camperon level ground. Place the wheel chocks under the camper wheels. Disconnect the towing arm from the tow vehicle.
- 2). Walk around the pop-up and unlock the latches securing the roof to the hard shell. Go to the roof crank housing panel, typically on the door side of the camper. Open the housing and place the hand crank onto the spindle. If the pop-up uses a motor drive to raise and lower the roof, take out the control box.
- 3). Turn the hand crank counter-clcokwise to raise the pop-up camper roof. If your pop-up uses motor drives, press the raise button and hold until the roof is in the full upright position.
- 4). Continue to turn the hand crank until the roof is fully up.
- 5). Open the camper door and go inside to ensure the roof is in the fully open position. If your popup has roof locks, engage them to ensure the roof remains extended and up.
