Under Floor Heating For a Comfortable Stay

Under floor heating is much like a central heating system for indoor climate control.
The rooms can be kept warm by supplying heated water by electric cable, mesh or film heaters.
Not only water but also electric current is used for heating the floors.

Pipes and tubes are laid on the floor during construction and warm water is made to circulate through them.

For the under-floor heating systems, oil, gas, solid fuel or electric resistance hot water boilers can be used for providing heat.
There are several thermal concerns for the heating of the under floor.
Downward heat loss is influenced by the sol conductivities.
Isolated heating surfaces can result from air conditioned systems and ventilation.
For the heating of the under floor, various factors need to be controlled.
These are fluid temperature in heating plant, fluid temperature in pex piping system, fluid temperature in distributing network, and surface temperature for safety and comfort.
Though the system of heating under floor can be a bit expensive than the radiator, yet it will prove to be beneficial and cost effective in the long run.
It saves energy up to 40% as compared to other forms of heating for floors.
The loops for heating under-floor are absolutely maintenance-free and the pipes have longevity of 100 years.
However, pumps and other controlling elements need maintenance from time to time.
Electrical under-floor heating is very popularly used as it is very easy to install and has low cost.
For comfort in the bathroom from the cold tiles, this type of heating is used.
It is also used in kitchens, kid's playroom, and basement or in other rooms that need more heat.
In case of this type of electrical heating, floor height need not be very high.
1mm height is enough for this type of heating.
With the help of thermostat, the heating program can be scheduled according to the time when it is occupied.
The electric wires are set up onto an insulation board or directly onto the sub floor and then the floor is covered over the heating system or thin set.
There are various advantages and disadvantages of heating under floor.
The advantages include thermal comfort, dust control, space saving, low temperature and energy efficiency.
There are some disadvantages to this system as well, which are electric heat inefficiency, maintenance and repair and compatibility.
