The new spray paint is something very different from the old days when a can of it came in only in a few primary colors.

When I change the color scheme and want new accessories to match, I grab the correct colors of spray paint and create custom bathroom accessories for a tenth of the price of new ones.
Garage sales and used furniture stores are great places to find objects that blend well with a can of spray paint.
You can make over an entire piece for the price of one can of paint, usually $5.

Don't be afraid of the metal paint, I have found it works extremely well.

Take an inexpensive plastic pot put a coat or two of the hammered metal viola you have an expensive looking pot for pennies.
