Poetry of a Fast Changing World - Poetic Progression to the Rhythm of Nature
Life in itself is a form of poetry; it has an introduction and a theme.
It has meter, continuity, content, drama, contains love and hatred and, inevitably, an exit.
Every life is an entirely different form of poetry, some kind and gentle, others unkind and brutal but the saga continues generation after generation, until no longer required.
It is like belonging to one large family, female and male, adult and child, being there present in abundance.
The family can and often does stretch back to many a different place in time, that being the beginning the line of succession can then be traced, if wanting to, as we are all, each and every one, the products of time and place.
Maybe, if we were able to check up on our DNA, we would find that we are related to those that we like not, poetic justice? Every family has, what was once called, black sheep, those that did not, or could not conform to the rules laid down by the family member of the higher order.
Some just went off on their own, to disappear into the mists of time, others tried their very best to conform to that given out as law.
However, over the years, progress does take on a different shape and form, we live in a world of much change, some of it not very pleasant but some progressing ever forward.
As the world evolves, things are discovered that we, as humans, knew nothing about years ago and we do take the new on board, perhaps slowly and cautiously at first.
New generations tend to accept change more readily and to look at things differently, but in some lives the past stays resolutely the same, they not wanting to be disturbed from their accepted mode of life or their static and obsolescent way of thinking, they being content with that which is and has always been around self.
This does not mean that they should attempt to discourage or indeed, to prevent the younger ones from exploring that which they need, in order for them to keep up with this ever changing, advancing and developing world of ours.
Things are no longer the same as that which was; the basics of living are still there but change comes in the way that people start to think, education is now wide spread and the more people learn, the more they know that change is not only inevitable, but desirable, in order to keep up with the modern standards of a more technical age.
What one wishes for self can stay in the same old mould, if wanting, but the offspring of their generation mix with others of their own age, see and do what they do, and wish to be a part of the future not the past, the past has had its time and it's opportunity for the learning of lessons.
There was a need in days gone by, to protect those around and there still is, but community has changed, there is a greater desire to help others, more than has ever been before in the history of man.
The world has become smaller, we see it by the exchange happening, in that of work and play, we are a world of mixed parentage and that of creed, many religious beliefs and other issues, yet it does not mean that we cannot cope with other and new situations.
Knowledge is expanding exponentially and the ancient wisdom and belief systems no longer hold such an all powerful sway over the mind of mankind.
We are all different in thinking, even if we are the non-conforming member of the family, that family is still the same, the love for each other; the care is still there, even if in some things we go, as one would say, astray, we are still part of that unit.
In point of fact, that unit is then part of the community around it and so it goes on, that the world is one, with different sorts of people doing their own thing but as one with the other, a part of the human race of man.
