The Fellowship Of The Ring/lord of the ring
The fellowship of the ring is the first book of the Lord Of The Rings series. the lord of the rings story is the continuing sequel to The Hobbit. The books were written in 1937 the same year the hobbit was written, and LOTR was published in 1954.
My own opinion on the book is that it was very clear stated and majestic. The book also gave you a very clear, and realistic vision in your mind. All of the fantastic imagery that the author used made everthing come to life. The characters and places were made to be so real and clear in your mind. One of my favorite parts of the book, that got a great visual, was when, they were ambushed by Orcs.
Ambushed by the Orcs and in a dark passage way.The idea of being chased by the Orcs brought to life a terrifying scary event and mad e you feel like you were reallyb there.
My least favorite part in the book was the first part in the fellowship. The reason why is that nothing interesting happend, besides bilbo giving the ring to frodo, and they end up in Rivendal in an unusual way.Humans attacked the Hobbits and Frodo and Sam were knocked out for four days. The idea of humans attacking the Hobbits was not really clear in the book and made it confusing.
The council of Elrond were disscusing if Sam and Frodo should continue the journey to destroy the ring because of the danger involved. This made the two seem like they could not handle the task. At this time Bilbo comes in to be invloved with the council and conviences the council to let the two journey on. This adds excitement to the story as you would think the story might end with the decision of the council.
My personal, favorite that happened in the book were, bilbo gives the ring to frodo atheir birthday party where Gandolf was present. The ecitment and thrill that the two felt was bouncing off of the page. Then they get to Rivendal. The most wonderous place where the Elves live. Filled with an idea of savety because of the valley for Rivendal Elves. They make it to the great river. I would recomend this book, and the ones following it to anyone who is a fan of middle earth. I would rate this book 4 stars.
