Cancun is a popular vacation destination that is situated along the Mayan Riviera. Tourists travel to the area to enjoy white sand beaches, clear blue water that is known to be constantly warm and to experience the history of Mayan culture. The hills and mountains surrounding Cancun are dotted with pyramids that are situated in lush tropical jungles. Several companies offer vacation packages that are meant to make trips to Cancun affordable. - Club Med is a popular choice for travelers heading to Cancun because they offer all inclusive packages. Rooms and suites at Club Med come in a variety of sizes and include a long list of amenities. Each room features premium bedding, flat-panel television, wi-fi access and a panoramic view of the ocean. Facilities include a large swimming pool, restaurant, poolside lounge with swim-up bar, free babysitting center, teen center and activities desk. Guests have access to activities such as snorkeling, horseback riding, boat rides, parasailing, boogie boarding and planned guided tours of the surrounding area. As of 2010, Club Med had packages starting at $999 per week per guest.

The decor and landscaping of the resort is meant to make patrons feel as though they have been taken into the jungle to discover Mayan ruins. The entire property is artfully landscaped with caves, ponds, trails and small lakes. Each room and suite at the hotel offers upscale amenities such as flat-panel television monitors, available balconies, spacious bath suites and comfortable sitting areas. As of 2011, FunJet offers packages starting at less than $800 per week per guest. That price includes meals, nonmotorized activities and accommodations.
- The Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa is the only resort in Cancun that is bordered by the ocean on three sides. As of 2010, families of four with two children under the age of 12 can book a vacation at the resort for one week starting at $658 per person. The resort offers a number of different options in regard to room size. Guests can choose standard family suites with kitchens, living rooms and two bedrooms or they can opt for upgraded suites that feature deluxe amenities such as whirlpool baths and private courtyards. Guests can dine at one of five on-site restaurants and enjoy activities such as swimming with dolphins in an on-site lagoon.
