How to Use Candy Bars to Say Thank You
- 1). Customize candy bar wrappers. Remove the manufacturer's candy bar wrapper from a candy bar. Use the wrapper as a template and cut a piece of decorative scrapbooking paper the same size. Customize the decorative paper with "thank you" stickers, pictures and other scrapbooking embellishments. You can also design and print candy bar wrapper collages with images and bold, colorful text in desktop publishing programs such as Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Publisher. Making customized candy bar wrappers works best with chocolate bars that come with a layer of protective foil underneath the manufacturer's wrapper.
- 2). Arrange an assortment of the recipient's favorite candy bars in a gift basket, decorative dish, vase or mug. Use candy bars with bright-colored wrappers. If using a gift basket, place the completed gift in a clear cellophane bag. Tie the basket closed with a ribbon and affix a handwritten "thank you" note on the cellphone. Decorative dish, mug and vase candy bar gifts can be packaged in boxes in which the items can fit.
- 3). Bake candy bar treats. Dice candy bars and use them to make cookies, cakes or no-bake pies. Southern Living Magazine recommends melting candy bars to make chocolate cupcakes and using candy bar pieces for cupcake toppings. Present the thank you recipient with baked candy bar treats arranged on a decorative serving tray.
