What Are The Secrets of Web Marketing?

There are thousands of marketers searching for the secrets of web marketing. Many pay unimaginable amounts of money to web marketing gurus to share their secrets.

I recently had a conversation with a marketer from the UK, who recently went to see a web marketing Guru (I'm not going to mention his name) at one of his seminars in London.

In such seminar, the web marketing Guru, was going to reveal the most guarded secrets no one wants to reveal about making money from the internet. My friend got really excited and paid $3,000 USD, to see this famous Guru. By no means I'm against paying that amount of money for a seminar of that magnitude. What I'm against, is when they aren't honest and exaggerate what they are going to teach.

I am a big fan of seminars myself, and I know there are many different ways to advertise such seminars, without any fiction or untrue statements.

If I hear something untrue or fictional in the web marketing industry, I tend to be a little skeptical.

I know great speakers like Big Al, Tony Robbins and Bob Proctor; don't need to come up with fishy titles to attract people to their events. They just simply promote what they teach, that's it.

Most people know they are the top best in their professions, and they events are worth every cent you pay to see them, so here's the rest of the story:

I told my friend to send me a Facebook message the next day of the event, to know how great it was. He didn't send me a message. After a few days, I found him on Facebook and I initiated the chat conversation, and asked him to tell me about the event.

I asked him, what are those web marketing secrets the Guru advertised?

He practically told me everything the Guru taught him, he already knew it.

I asked, what do you mean, tell me more?

He said the Guru talked about, personal branding, lead capture pages, video marketing, article marketing, classified ads, and offline advertising, etc.

I asked what?

He admitted he basically paid $3,000 for someone to remind him what he already knows. He got printed materials, a couple of CD's and a t-shirt.

Did you know that all that information is available for less than one hundred dollars?

Again, I'm not against paying to learn valuable information. I think that web marketing education, should be affordable for most people, but

Keep yourself learning from good sources. Your journey will take you to find the right people, who will take you to other sources where you will continue learning and become a better marketer.
