Virgo Monthly Horoscope for December 2010

As December gets under way, you'll feel that it's time to retreat from the public eye.
The world has become much too hectic, and you'll be looking for some peace and quiet.
So it's only natural that you'll want to spend as much time as possible in your own home, away from the madding crowd.
And while it's true that in your own home you can do a lot of good work, it's important that you don't get carried away.
If you stay in one place for too long, you could feel completely stuck, and this could have an adverse impact on your various relationships.
So try to give yourself as much variety as possible.
The New Moon on December 5 is going to place a great deal of emphasis on your home and family, and in the run up to Christmas it might be a good idea to alter your approach.
Perhaps you've got used to celebrating Christmas in a particular way (assuming you're living in a Christian culture), and it's all getting rather boring.
It's time to rethink your whole approach.
Perhaps you'll decide that Christmas is for wimps, and that there are better things to be wasting your time on.
Or you'll want to spend Christmas somewhere different.
As far as your career is concerned, December can be a good month, provided you go about things in the right way.
There's probably no point in talking to people, or trying to get their support.
Instead you need to do your own thing, in your own way.
At first you won't see any results, but after Christmas, and into the New Year, your strategy will start paying off.
Looking at relationships, and things look good.
Jupiter, your relationship ruler, is well placed in Pisces, your opposite sign.
This means that partners are going to be on good form, and they can provide you with plenty of support.
However don't be surprised if they're stubborn.
They have a set of beliefs about the world, which they are not prepared to compromise.
So if you're looking for a new relationship, look out for someone who has an opinion about most subjects and doesn't like to be contradicted.
He or she will also be very moral - though what's saintly to one person can be sinful to another.
On December 21 or 22 it's the Winter Solstice, when the Sun moves into Capricorn.
You become more of an extrovert, and you'll find it easier to socialise.
However it's important that everything happens on your terms, and if you're going to Christmas and New Year parties you must be in full control, and you must have ample opportunity to express your creativity.
However one word of warning.
At the end of December Mars makes a stressful aspect to Saturn.
Money could cause problems, and you'll have to be very firm with the people around you.
And if you've got children, whether they're five or fifty-five years old, you mustn't give in to their financial demands.
