"Gamers" looking for action and slots can find casinos throughout upstate Michigan. Driving to these casinos is fine, but when travelers would rather see the sights than the road, a bus tour is the answer. Many of the buses that go to casinos in Northern Michigan are deluxe motor coaches with washrooms and reclining seats and offer packages that include transportation, overnight lodging and breakfast. "People don't have to think about traveling expenses and setting it all up," says Sandy Williams, sales coordinator at the Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey, Michigan. - The Kewadin Casinos have five locations; their Hotel and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, is their largest and first. Among the bus companies that bring visitors there from the Midwest and Ontario is Kewadin Travel, which runs round trips from the Detroit area. As of April 2010, a two-day, one-night weekday package is $105 per person, double occupancy, and includes an overnight at Kewadin's Saulte Ste. Marie resort, round-trip transportation from Dearborn and about a two-hour stop at its casino in St. Ignace. The price also covers breakfast and $10 in food coupons. Weekend trips cost $115.
