- In most conditions, 90W GL-4 hypoid gear oil is recommended. In very cold weather conditions, 80W GL-4 hypoid gear oil may be used.
- Lift the vehicle and place it securely on jack stands. Using a 17-mm Allen wrench, remove the oil filler plug on the left side of the transaxle. Place a drain pan beneath the first (of two) drain plugs on the bottom of the transaxle and remove the plug. After the oil drains, move the pan to second drain plug and remove it. Replace both drain plugs and tighten with an Allen wrench.
- Using a lubricant pump, refill the transaxle with 90W GL-4 hypoid gear oil up to the level of the oil filler plug. Replace the oil filler plug.
