Meditation Techniques That Work For Me
There are a few meditation techniques that work for me.
When I first started meditating, it was for anxiety and panic attacks that happened quite often.
I'm talking damn near everyday of the week.
I had no other avenues that had helped me with my panic attacks and anxiety, so I thought to myself what the heck and I wanted to try something I've never done before but was a little skeptical at first.
So, I heard about meditation and the benefits of it, so I sought someone who could teach me some meditation techniques that would work for me.
At first, I ended up in a psychologist office not knowing that he would eventually teach me my first meditation technique, focusing on the breath.
At first, this was quite difficult because my mind was racing at astronomical speeds.
After I became more in tune with my breathing by focusing my mind on the expansion and contraction of my lungs, it became easier to do.
I became less and less anxious during my days, so I continued this practice until I got bored with it and stop doing it for awhile.
When my anxiety and panic attacks started creeping into my life again, it was time to seek some more meditation techniques that would work for me.
My second experience was called a guided meditation which I wore headphones and listened to a CD as the speaker would relax me and guide me in meditation.
This was very soothing and very relaxing.
There are several other varieties of meditation, and just using one of the techniques will change your life forever.
Meditation gave me back control over my life so that no matter what was happening externally weather it was positive or negative I could still develop control over my thoughts and thus control the emotions and feeling in my mind.
