About the Airport

Indira Gandhi International Airport was established in the year 1986, named after the former prime minister. This airfield is around 16 km from Kashmere Gate ISBT - one of the major bus stations of the city. There is a metro stoppage also at the Kashmere Gate from where buses are run for major cities of the country. It is over 21 km away from the New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), from where a taxi can be booked. People can also board the Delhi Airport Express Metro (DAME) from New Delhi metro station to reach here. To travel within the city, tourists can use these modes of transportation to visit different landmarks of the Indian national capital.
