Honey As Moisturizer - Does it Really Work?

Most of us have heard about using honey as moisturizer in for example home remedies for dry skin.
But does honey as moisturizer really work and which honey is most beneficial? Yes it is true, most honey is moisturizing for the skin.
Most people don't want to smear honey all over their bodies though, so you may want to look for a natural moisturizer with honey in it instead.
If you do put that honey straight on your skin, remember that it is best with honey in its raw natural form, as it has the most beneficial effects.
There are different types of honey, and the one I have found has the most beneficial qualities is Active Manuka Honey from New Zealand.
This kind of honey supports the formation of stronger collagen, protects against free radicals and heals dry skin.
Make sure that the honey is converted into the skin cream in a way that preserves its beneficial nutrients and properties.
It should not be pasteurized the regular way, or it will loose much of its healing and moisturizing abilities.
There are some moisturizer creams with honey in them that you'll want to avoid though.
Creams that contain ingredients like mineral oil, alcohol, parabens, sulfates, and dioxanes can have harmful effects on your skin.
Instead look for a completely natural moisturizer with ingredients that work in synergy with the honey.
For example Cynergy TK and Phytessence Wakame are ingredients that also are deeply moisturizing and are effective in protecting the skin against visible signs of aging.
