How to Paint a Horse on a Bedroom Wall
- 1). Purchase the colors you'd like to paint the horse. Decide what wall you'd like the horse to be painted on and how large you want the horse to be. You can mark the wall with guiding pencil marks to ensure you do not exceed the space of your planned horse image.
- 2). Pencil your sketch of the horse onto the wall. You can freehand the preliminary drawing directly onto the wall. If you are tentative about sketching directly in that area, you can first finalize your rough drawing on a piece of poster board. Cut around the outline of your horse.
- 3). Tape your cutout onto the wall where you want the horse to be painted. If you have a large drawing, this will be especially helpful in keeping the cutout in place while you trace around it.
- 4). Trace around the entire outline of the horse onto the wall with your pencil. Fill in additional details onto your wall sketch, such as facial features. Refer to your original drawing for these details.
- 5). Paint the areas that occupy large spaces with the same color first. When those areas have dried, you can fill in the other colors. After all the paint colors have dried, use a Sharpie Permanent Marker to trace the entire outline of your horse. Add in final touches and detailing.
