Appliances Now Available for the Modern Kitchen
If you stop to think about it for just a moment, you'll quickly realize that of all rooms and areas of the home it is your kitchen that has undergone the most changes throughout history.
What started out really as just a basic wood fuelled grill area has seen an incredible number of upgrades, and improvement.
It hasn't stopped either because it seems that the offerings in new gadgets and appliances is almost never ending as companies scramble to be the one competitor to offer the buying public the next hot accessory for the modern kitchen.
So then what's new and truly useful today? The Convection Oven Well, the convection oven has been around for years now in restaurants but it's only in recent years that smaller, scaled down versions of this amazing high tech cooking appliance have been available.
So then just what is a convection oven, and what makes it so different? A convection oven uses fans to create airflow around whatever it is being baked in them.
You see, your standard oven has no air flowing around in it so convection ovens not only cook faster, but they cook food better.
They bake faster than but not quite as fast as a microwave oven.
The airflow means that things being baked in them also cook more evenly and at a lower temperature, so things like roasts and cookies are far more consistent and there is also far less chance of burning.
Also unlike a microwave, the foods being baked in a convection oven have come out with the same texture, and consistency as food cooked in a standard oven.
The Steam Oven Yet one more adaptation on the standard kitchen oven is the steam oven.
Once again, just like the convention oven, this kitchen appliance cooks food faster and far more consistently, only as the name suggests, it uses super heated steam.
So then what's the difference here aside from the fact that it uses steam? Well for starters, things that are cooked in a stream oven come out far moister and oily meats like ribs can be cooked longer to remove more fat.
Another nice thing about both of these types of ovens is that they allow a less experienced baker to achieve more professional results without the risk of burning.
Telescopic Ventilators Now here is something that should have been around a lot sooner because we needed it.
Telescopic ventilators are just that.
They allow you to pull the air intake end on your stove vent right down on top of whatever you are cooking on the stove.
Now how many times have you gotten yourself into preparing something like spicy stir-fry meats and no matter how powerful your stove vent is, it just wasn't doing a good enough job of sucking away all the smoke that was being generated.
Well this handy adaptation solves that problem completely!
