How to Install Overflows on Stock Tanks
- 1). Close the shut-off valve for the water supply to the stock tank. Locate the pressure relief valve that is at the top of the tank.
- 2). Remove the old pressure relief valve using the adjustable wrench. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to loosen the valve. Take the pressure relief valve off of the tank.
- 3). Wrap the threads of the new pressure relief valve with the Teflon tape. Insert the new valve into the top of the tank. Turn the valve clockwise by hand. Tighten the valve fully with the adjustable wrench.
- 4). Open the shut-off valve to allow water to flow back into the tank.
