Keeping Track Of Reps
Keeping track of the amount of weight and reps you do every workout will also keep you motivated.
If you do the same routines in your workouts for awhile, but really not increasing the weight or reps each time, then you are not really motivated to gain muscle.
By writing down what you do every time, you will force yourself to gain more muscle because you have a goal and are motivated.
Write down what you do for exercises and write down the amount of reps next to it.
Now when you do the same exercises next time, either increase the weight 5 lbs.
or do an extra rep.
Continue this pattern every time and you will be increasing the weight and reps each time.
Now that you have something written down, you are more motivated to follow it and do better each time.
Most people don't write things down at the gym and as you will see they always seem to be doing the same weight every time.
I have been writing down my weight and reps and I gained 30 lbs.
in about 4 months.
Now it wasn't just from this, but it really forced me to increase the weight on my failure sets or do at least another rep.
You will be surprised how much it will help you once you start doing this.
If you are the type of person who sometimes skips out early on things, this will make you finish what is on the list first.
If you have all your exercises written down, you are more likely to do them before leaving the gym.
