How to Cut Up a PSD
- 1). Start Adobe Photoshop and select "File" and "New" from the menu. A dialog box opens. Double-click the PSD file you want to modify. It loads in Photoshop.
- 2). Click "Window," "Snap To" and "Slices" from the menu. This automatically aligns your selections.
- 3). Select the "Slice" tool from the Tools palette.
- 4). Drag your mouse over the first area of your image that you want to divide (cut). Release your mouse to create a slice.
- 5). Drag your mouse over the next area you want to cut. To cut an area adjacent to the first slice, for example, place your mouse on the edge of the first slice. Then highlight the area you want to slice and release your mouse. Repeat this step until the PSD is cut as desired.
