How to Set Up a Nevada LLC

    • 1). File Articles of Organization with the Nevada Secretary of State's Office. Forms to file an LLC, Professional LLC or Foreign (non-Nevada) LLC are available on the Secretary of State's website, or contact the Secretary of State's office at 775-684-5708 to request a hard copy. Send forms and an application fee of $75.00 to the Secretary of State's office.

    • 2). Complete an Initial List of Managers or Members form. Provide the names and addresses of all LLC managers or managing members as well as the name and address of the registered agent who agrees to accept all business documents from the state on behalf of the LLC. The registered agent needs to sign the Registered Agent Acceptance form included in the Articles of Organization paperwork. Send both forms along with an initial list filing fee of $125.00 to the Secretary of State's office. You can also submit this form online using the Secretary of State's online filing system.

    • 3). Apply for a Nevada State Business License. Download an application from the Secretary of State's website or apply online. The filing fee for a business license is $200.00.
