Submitted by Just another stitcher, this photo is of a piece she stitched from a Paula Vaughn Chart from Leisure Arts entitled From this Day Forward. This chart was stitched for her parents 50th wedding anniversary. She describes the project, "The pattern was four pages long. The project took two years! There were oodles and oodles of quarter stitches. I changed the color in the rug from burgundy to navy.
The sky in the background is composed of nothing but half stitches. Boy, did I ever get lost doing that!
I added the name of the design at the top and their names and wedding dates at the bottom. I hope to present this as a shadowbox with Dad's insignia from his Air Force cap in one corner and a piece of Mom's veil in the other. Yes - after 50 years, she still has her veil - or at least part of it."
