Uses of Feng Shui Crystals

How do feng shui practitioners use crystals? Do they use one specific crystal type or many types? Must a crystal hang or sit, and must it go in a specific place? In general, crystals are used in many different ways in different cultures and circles.
Sometimes they're purely decoration; other times they're used as a source of healing power.
In feng shui crystals are used primarily for two reasons: 1.
Crystals redirect chi and disperse this energy in a new direction.
Have you seen a clear prism reflect light? It redirects the light in new directions and casts rainbows in the room.
Crystals are basically prisms, and they redirect chi the same way those prisms refract light.
In this way, hanging or placing crystals is a quick and easy way to redirect chi.
For example, when your main door opens straight to a staircase, entering chi rushes straight up or down the staircase rather than flowing through the main floor.
Hang a crystal in front of the stairwell to redirect the chi, dispersing it throughout the home's floors.
2.
Each type of crystal absorbs and releases a specific type of earth energy, cleansing the air of negative energy or attracting a certain aspiration's positive energy.
Amethyst quartz, for example, is said to calm and concentrate the mind and release stress; it's used to absorb negative frequencies, reducing anger, and release energy to calm and focus the mind.
TYPES OF CRYSTALS Round prisms are extremely common in feng shui.
Usually made of glass or a glass-like material, these are easily hung with a red string in corners, hallways, windows, or wherever else needed.
Crystal geodes are rock cavities with crystals or concentric banding inside.
They may contain clear quartz, amethyst quartz, agate, chalcedony, jasper, calcite, dolomite, or others.
Some are hollow and others are solid crystal.
Rather than hung, geodes are set on desks, table, or other furniture to protect and cleanse the home's energy.
Raw quartz is harvested from a single crystal.
These may be raw or polished, naturally shaped or fashioned into a pyramid, wand, zodiac animal, or sometimes a tree.
Like geodes, these crystals are set around the home to cleanse the home's energy and draw new energy.
Polished gems are usually small pieces of sanded and polished stone.
They are particularly versatile in use and may be placed in a bowl, stand alone, fashioned into a gem tree, or used in a multitude of other ways.
They may be many types of stone but are commonly various types of quartz.
