In Arizona, you do not need a license to own a mobile home, as the home is delivered and assembled for you. However, you do need proper titles and forms that prove you own the mobile home. There are laws regarding how to go about doing this procedure. You will need to get identifications plates for your mobile home, even though it does not move. - You must have the title for your mobile home, unless a dealer has it with sole intentions of selling it. Also, you do not need to pay the title fees if your home is permanently fixed. For example, if your mobile home is on a plot of land that you own, you are exempt. If there are two or more sections to your motor home, then you need to have titles for each separate part. Once you are the registered owner, the mobile home will be given a serial number that it is filed under.
- If you do have your mobile home moved, then the trailer you use must be registered. It cannot weight more than 10,000 lbs. Also, if you are the one driving the truck, make sure that you have the correct class of driver's license both in Arizona and in the other states you will be traveling through, if there are any.
- Since a mobile home is like a house, you do not need any license to live in or own one. If you plan on moving your home around with your own trailer, this is the only reason you would need a license. All you need is the deed or lien saying you own, or are paying off your mobile home.
