X10 Range Of Phones From Sony Ericsson

Android phones are getting more and more popular with each passing day. All the leading mobile manufacturing companies are releasing new Android phones to grab the attention of fans of Android based phones. Sony Ericsson, renowned worldwide for its high end and highly advanced music phones, has also entered the competition with the launch of its first Android phone called the Xperia X10. The company is always strived hard to bring innovative and feature-rich devices for the users and has emerged as a winner by releasing popular handsets one after the other. This time, it has banged the smartphone segment with its X10 series and launch of the likes of Xperia X10 and its two siblings, Sony Ericsson X10 Mini and Mini Pro.

The X10, being Sony Ericsson's first Android based phone, runs on Android 1.6 Operating System and possesses larger than life features in the form of a huge 4 inches screen, 3.5G HSDPA, 8.1 mega pixel digital caera, 1GB internal memory and 16 GB extendable Micro SD card slot. Measuring 119 x 63 x 13 mm and weighing 135g, this 3G device delivers high internet speed up to 2 Mbps speed and can manage history and media libraries making internet browsing and web surfing nuch more convenient and enjoyable.

The gadget also makes the life of the mobile user easier with its integrated Google Maps feature, A-GPS, and Wisepilot that helps them turn-by-turn navigation. The handset also possesses an integrated system to provide an easier social networking, communication and entertainment feature to the users. The device can be connected and charged to a PC with the help of a micro USB port and the users can also synchronise their important data and applications from their PC to the handset and vice versa.

Xperia X10 mini and mini pro handsets are very similar to each other and possess features very similar to each other. Both the devices run on Android 1.6 and run on a 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor.

Apart from other traditional features, one unique function of these gadgets is the Mediascape and the Timescape features. These allow the users to access most of the different networking sites like facebook, twitter etc. and also messaging from just one place with the help of Timescape. Mediascape allows you to access your favourite music, videos and pictures at one time.

Although the three handsets do not run on the android 2.0 OS like the many newer phones but the company has announced that it aims to incorporate new Android 2.0 OS into the new version due for release in the fourth quarter of the year.

Recently, the tiny X10 Mini phone equipped with powerful features, has been awarded as the European Mobile Phone 2010-2011 by European Imaging and Sound Association. 50 European special interest magazines chose the winner. The capability to deliver excellent performance with loads of high end smart features all packed in a mini casing helped the device to bag the award. This award is definitely a high honour for the Sony and its creation in the form of X10 Mini.
