LED Screens At Motor Sports

In a motorsport stadium, large LED screens are used to broadcast race action live to the crowd. These screens also display graphics and pre-produced video footage to inform and entertain the crowd. Often, the stems are capable of rotating through the entire field, and will show the running order of the vehicles.

Other digital screens used in motor sport are stopwatch and countdown timing devices. These devices feature the state of the art LED technology that makes it possible to read them in full sunlight. Race track scoreboards and accessories also use LED technology. These may be permanent, portable or semi-permanent scoreboards that show the crowd real-time top positions, current lap and qualifying time. Also using LED technology on race courses are intelligent track safety lights, wireless black flag, wireless lap counter, and flop clock and display timer.

LEDs are solid state devices which have no moving parts. They produce little heat, and are at least five times as energy efficient as incandescent devices. Moreover, they are lightweight and can be mounted easily. Choices of LED colours are also available.

The outdoor screens used in motorsport can also be used for advertising purposes. Since the viewership at motorsport stadia is large, advertising works out to be very cost effective. LED advertising displays are attractive, and can constantly be changed, making it perfect for sponsors to advertise in-stadia.

With the high brightness and high resolution that they offer, LED big screen boards are full colour and large format. They act as a multiple message provider, and have the flexibility of being able to change the message at the click of a mouse.

LED technology is perfect for large outdoor applications such as motorsport advertising and live displays. This is because LED technology has several inherent advantages over comparable technology such as LCD and plasma screen. With LED, size of digital displays can be made larger, as LED screens are scalable, being modular. By adding more cabinets to the original, the size of the screen can be enhanced. This is not the case with LCD and plasma screen technology, where size of screen is not expandable beyond a point.

Given its overall advantages, comparatively low cost of operation, and undeniable high quality output, LED technology is here to stay. For in-stadia advertising, it guarantees investors a good return on investment, and effective results in terms of enhanced sales and brand recall. Outdoor Screen, Mobile LED Screens
