Ryde - Isle of Wight is a town in United Kingdom.
It is one of the most famous seaside towns in the Isle of Wight.
It is situated on the north-east coast Isle of Wight.
This town connects the two villages of Upper Ryde and Lower Ryde.
It has turned into a resort and is famous for the expanding sand beach that occurs at the time of low tide.
Ryde Pier is one the longest pier in United Kingdom.
It is said to be the fourth longest and the oldest pier.
There was a pier in the earlier times, named Victoria Pier but it does not exist now.
The sea culture of Ryde is very much visible in the architecture of the town.
Each year five carnivals take place in Ryde which is a part of the culture of the people over there.
The carnivals are very attractive and that is why many tourists gather to attend these carnivals.
In the month of June the Art Parade takes place and is the first carnival of the year.
Then there is the Children's Main in the month of August.
The Lantern Parade in the month of December is the most famous of all the carnivals.
These carnivals of Ryde are the oldest of any other carnivals that takes place in United States.
Ryde Carnivals are though has a diminishing popularity now a day but still the biggest carnival in the whole island.
Other than the carnivals and the vast extending beautiful beach there are two churches that are the point of tourist attraction.
These are the All Saints and the Holy Trinity.
These churches are most visible if someone is travelling on the ship.
