It is said to be the fourth longest and the oldest pier.
There was a pier in the earlier times, named Victoria Pier but it does not exist now.

Each year five carnivals take place in Ryde which is a part of the culture of the people over there.
The carnivals are very attractive and that is why many tourists gather to attend these carnivals.
In the month of June the Art Parade takes place and is the first carnival of the year.

The Lantern Parade in the month of December is the most famous of all the carnivals.
