How to Create a Christmas Hurricane Candle Holder
- 1). Cover your work surface with an old tablecloth or layers of newspaper to simplify clean-up and protect the table from messy adhesives, snow spray and glitter.
- 2). Grasp the hurricane candle shade at the top and spray the bottom half of the glass with artificial snow. Spritz the "snow" all the way around the glass in a random pattern so it appears like snow is building up along the bottom of the glass. Allow the spray to dry for at least two hours.
- 3). Hold a shape stencil against the glass so it's slightly overlapping the top edge of the artificial snow. Use a Christmas-themed image like a reindeer, sleigh, snowflake or tree to adorn the holiday candle holder.
- 4). Pour white glue onto a paper plate. Dip a stencil brush into the glue and press the brush onto a piece of scrap paper to leave an even layer of glue on the brush. Pounce the brush over the stencil, working quickly to fill the shape in with glue before the adhesive dries. Remove the stencil.
- 5). Sprinkle glitter that matches your other table decor over the glue. Gently tap the glass candle holder to remove the excess glitter. Let the accent dry for at least two hours.
- 6). Place the decorated candle shade onto the glass base and sit a white pillar candle in the center. Hold the top of the candle for stability and pour fresh cranberries into the candle holder until they cover the bottom half of the candle.
- 7). Tie ribbon around the bottom of candle holder, if desired. Give the Christmas candle decoration a holiday scent by slipping two cinnamon sticks beneath the bow.
