How to Get Rid of Bees With an Organic Solution
- 1). Mix six tablespoons of dish soap into a mop bucket about a quarter of the way full. At night when the hive is not active, put protective tight clothing on and get as close to the hive as possible. Throw the solution directly on the nest and make a fast exit. You may need to repeat this step until all the bees are gone. Remove the nest when you are certain it is vacant so it can't be reused by different bees.
- 2). Spray the bees with a natural pesticide. Combine a quart of water and a tablespoon of vegetable oil and put it in a spray bottle. Wear tight protective clothing and spray the bees. This method is not recommended for a swarm of bees.
- 3). Use boric acid, or Borax. This is an excellent natural bee killer. It is poisonous to bees, but generally safe for humans. Sprinkle the powder where bees frequent. The dust sticks to the bees and they carry it back into the hive where eventually the entire colony is poisoned.
- 4). Plant peppermint or lemon grass around your yard or garden to repel bees. They have a strong dislike for these plants and will stay away.
- 5). Lure bees away with plants like daisies, roses, or sunflowers. Place these flowers far away from your house in your back yard. Bees will be attracted to these plants and will stay away from high traffic areas.
