Choose the right environment for you It is really important for you to choose the right place to clip your horse.
In the summer, when the days are hot and the sun is out for long periods of time, quite a lot of horse riders like to clip their horses outside, because of natural lighting.
The thing is that this might not work in the winter, because clipping a horse in cold and wet conditions might not sound like a great idea.
Take baby steps When clipping a horse you want to take the baby steps, especially if you have not got a lot of experience.
First of all make sure that the clippers ar running smoothly, that the blades are not blunt and that the tension is correct.
While clipping the horse make sure that you avoid swift movements and be very cautious.
In addition to this, remember to use long strokes instead of short, little ones, because by using long stokes you are going to get a much neater clip.
