Three Ways to Lose Weight Slowly and Keep it Off

Losing weight is easy, at least compared to keeping it off! Many friends of mine have lost and gained the same 10-20 pounds for decades, and most people who lose weight gain it back eventually.
Here are 3 tips to help you lose weight and keep it off.
1) Lose the weight slowly.
The slower you use it, the longer it tends to stay off, hopefully forever.
For example crash diets and rapid weight loss tend to have rapid rebounds in many cases! For example, if you lose 4 ounces a week, that will be over 25 pounds in two years.
Wouldn't you like to be 25 pounds lighter in two years, and keep that weight off forever? 2) Add activities to your life that you enjoy.
As compared to an exercise program you may start and stop, an activity you enjoy will often have a much longer lifespan and consistency.
For example, I fish in the summer which involves a lot of walking, at least the way I do it, and I also bike in the summer and ski in the winter.
I don't consider any of these "exercise.
" I enjoy doing them and can't imagine ever stopping, as compared to some exercise program geared towards weight loss that may stop next month.
Maybe there is an activity you love that you stopped doing for whatever reason that you can start again? 3) Eat something healthy that you enjoy at the beginning of every meal to help fill you up.
For example, I love salad and fruit, but used to rarely eat them at home.
Now I start many meals with a piece of fruit, often at breakfast, or a salad, often at dinner.
Before getting to the main and usually less healthy and more calorie laden course, I'm already slight filled up and tend to eat fewer calories.
Hopefully these tips will help you.
My weight still fluctuates, but averages about 20 pounds less than it was a mere 2 years ago
