How to License a Boat Bought in Missouri With No Title
- 1). Apply for a new title to the vessel. Download Form 108, "Application for Missouri Title and License," from the Missouri Department of Revenue's website (see Resources).
- 2). Complete the application and have it notarized. Mail the completed, notarized form to the Missouri Department of Revenue at: Motor Vehicle Bureau, 301 West High St., Room 370, P.O. Box 100, Jefferson City, MO 65105-0100 along with a money order, personal check or cashier's check in the amount of $11 to cover the application and processing fees. Wait to receive the new title by mail.
- 3). Download and complete Form 93, "Application for Missouri Boat/Vessel or Outboard Motor Title and Registration," from the Missouri Department of Revenue's website. You must include a copy of the property tax receipt issued at purchase and the title. Mail the application and applicable fees based on purchase price and taxes to: Motor Vehicle Bureau, P.O. Box 100, Jefferson City, MO 65105-0100.
- 4). Wait to receive the "MO Number," "Decals" and "Pocket Card" from the state of Missouri.
