How to Use the Bissell Steamer on Carpets
- 1). Fill the steam cleaner fluid canister with the designated ratio of water and cleaning solution. If you do not have solution, you can make your own by combining 2 tsp. of laundry detergent, 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda, then pour water into the canister until it reaches the fill line.
- 2). Turn on the Bissell Steamer, and allow steam to emit from the machine.
- 3). Run the steamer over the carpeting slowly to give the steam and cleaning solution enough time to penetrate and clean the carpeting.
- 4). Repeat until you have cleaned all the carpeting, then clean once more in the opposite direction to thoroughly clean all the carpet fibers.
