How to Install a Door Panel on a Jeep Rubicon
- 1). Open the door of your Jeep Rubicon as wide as possible and locate the screws that hold the door panel to the car. The screw on the top of the door panel is located far left, just below the window. There are two screws located just under the armrest. The last one is right behind the door handle. Place the door panel against the door to check if the panel is the right size and that all the screws match.
- 2). Connect all the wires from behind the door panel. There are rods and electrical connectors for the window, door lock and the mirror. Make sure you connect all of them before installing the Rubicon's door panel.
- 3). Press the whole panel inward to the window, and they simply slide it on to snap it to the top edge of the door. Connect the panel to the door by pushing the outer edges of the panel toward the door and clicking all the plastic clips into their place.
- 4). Install all the screws into their place using a Phillips screwdriver. Be sure to tighten all the screws as much as possible. Put on the plastic cover of the screw at the top of the panel right below the window.
- 5). Attach the door handle. Clip the door handle to the rods that hold it to the door. Drive in the door handle screws to the door.
- 6). Check if everything in the car door is working as it should. Test the window, lock and the mirror to see if you connected all the wires properly.
