Ford Gives the 2010 Edge a Hybrid Engine Option

The Ford Edge is a high end midsize crossover SUV which has been produced by the Ford Motor Company since they came out with the 2006 model.
  Starting with the 2009 model year, the Ford automobile was came with the Sport appearance package.
The 2010 automobile comes standard with a 3.
5 liter V6 engine.
  Most consumers are pleased with the engine's performance as it generates 265 horsepower at 6,250 revolutions per minute.
  It also generates 250 pound feet of torque at 4,500 revolutions per minute.
  The vehicle also comes standard with a six speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive.
  For an additional fee, the auto can be upgraded to all wheel drive.
While the vehicle generates decent engine performance, it lacks sufficient fuel efficiency.
  The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the 2010 Ford Edge get 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway with front wheel drive.
  If the vehicle is upgraded to include all wheel drive, fuel efficiency falls about 5%.
For the first time, this automobile comes with a hybrid option with their 2010 model.
  The model encompasses a unique hybrid system which uses and electric V6 engine.
Excluding the hybrid, the vehicle has basically the same engine options as the 2009 version.
  Prior to 2009, which was the first year of the automobile's Sport appearance package, the Edge had different engine options.
  There is no news regarding how long it will be until Ford introduces a new engine for the Ford Edge.
