Vacations on Cape Cod

Not all beach vacations are the same, just like no two beaches are ever alike. For example, Atlantic City has a boardwalk and a few multi-million dollar casinos. The California coastline is largely developed, and in some cases, features concrete piers. Some of the beaches in the Carolinas are undeveloped and are either state or nationally administered parks. Each place has its own unique identity, and it is that identity that brings visitors back every year. This is certainly the case with Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Cape Cod offers more of a northern climate, and it is sparsely populated, especially if you compare the area to the New Jersey shoreline and Atlantic City in particular. It is a place of relaxation. Most tourists visit Cape Cod for the slower pace. If they wanted the hustle and bustle of night life and dance clubs, they would have booked a vacation in Miami or some other hot spot in Florida. This level of idle relaxation can be seen in most everything associated with Cape Cod.

If you were to visit, you would likely spend your vacation either in a small bed and breakfast or in a bungalow. There is virtually no condominium sprawl, and as a result, the beaches are less crowded. This allows for a more cozy, private experience. The atmosphere is more intimate, as opposed to stressed out. This is way Cape Cod is often a preferred destination for couples and honeymooners. The slower pace allows both newlyweds and other romantics to focus more on the pleasure of each other's company.

As well as being a draw for tourists, Cape Cod also entices many to the area who want to get closer to nature. Across the region are biking and hiking trails, meandering country roads and miles of sandy beaches. Artists find the area's natural beauty inspiring and many come to explore the landscape and have it inform their work.

The area's natural beauty just adds to this. In some of the worst cases, over development can beach resemble urban blight with an ocean? Cape Cod always affords for stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, mixed with the natural beauty of Massachusetts. Most who visit Cape Cod leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed. They also look forward to returning as much as they can.
