Dealing Or Getting Over With a Break Up - Writing Your Hurt Out

Are you hurting right now because the love of your life recently broke up with you? Do you have crying spells at night because of the pain? Or do you feel as if you want to mutilate your ex for what he has done to you? Okay, that is a given.
All your emotions - ranging from anger to frustration are very valid.
Maybe you want to wring his neck because you feel that it is so unfair for you to be left out in the cold.
Maybe you're thinking of punching holes on his car tire ala Alex Forrest in Fatal Attraction, just so you could revenge on him.
Whatever your thoughts are, imprisoning them in your mind would make your head explode.
So, of course, you need to let them out.
I am not saying though that you should ax your former boyfriend - that is incredibly morbid.
All I am saying is that you need to express your emotions in the most constructive way there is and that is through writing.
If you are a guy and you are reading this right now, you are probably rolling your eyes, thinking to yourself that it is so cheesy (with emphasis on the SO) to express your feelings through writing.
Frankly though, it is not tasteless at all.
Writing is a cathartic experience.
It allows you to vent your frustrations without necessarily hurting the person who may have caused it.
It unburdens you of the pain that you may be keeping inside of you.
It uplifts you because it enables you to unleash every little bit of bitterness that you may be nursing.
Aside from these, you can also gain a little bit of perspective regarding your relationship and what could have possibly went wrong.
For instance, it may be that while you are remembering your song from when you first met your ex, you are reminded of how you were sweet towards him or her and this may have waned as the relationship grew.
Perhaps your break-up could even be attributed to that particular thing.
Whatever is your reason for writing, one thing remains true.
Writing can help you alleviate the brewing storm within.
What more, there is a bonus to all the writing that you are doing - you could probably win your ex back after gaining insight into what had transpired.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pen and a notebook - it could be an ordinary one or if you have a sudden burst of creativity, you could decorate it, and get writing.
