How to Reactivate My Existing Colorado Unemployment Claim

- 1). Call the Colorado Department of Labor's unemployment claims center. If you are calling from within the state, use (800) 388-5515 for the call. If you are outside Colorado, you must use (303) 318-9000 for the call. The center is open Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- 2). Tell the representative that you need to reopen a claim. Give your name, Social Security number, date of birth and mailing address so that the representative can locate your claim.
- 3). Give the representative the name, address, contact number and supervisor name for the job you were working most recently. This information must be added to your claim before it can be reactivated. You must also disclose why you are no longer working for this employer. This reactivates the claim. Your weekly benefit amount will not change.
