How to Fill Out Summer Employment Forms
- 1). Be truthful about your work experience and skills. If the position you are applying for calls for four years of data entry experience but you only have two years, put this on the application. If the employer prefers that you possess strong Spanish-speaking skills but you never learned this language, state this on the application.
- 2). Mention what you can contribute to the company. If you are applying for a summer job at a local gourmet coffee store, talk about how you are a team player and that your knowledge of the coffee trade and various types of coffees will enable you to assist customers with purchasing the store's products. Or if you are applying for a position at a video game store, discuss your expertise in this subject and how you would use this knowledge to sell the games to customers who are not familiar with these types of products.
- 3). Review your information before turning it in. Make sure that you answered all of the questions on the application and let a relative look over it for grammatical correctness.
