The Whole Packing Process
Although final packing should not actually take much more than two days, additional chores such as repairs, repainting and replacing old worn out things may lengthen your over-all packing time. These pre-moving chores are executed by several people while the other individuals leave things as is and let their landlords deal with those. If you have options, dont leave packaging on the week just before the move. Packing is unexciting for a lot of people - it requires lots of time that you might wish to spend for other things. And though packing and de-cluttering are significant factors of moving, you can't always delight in its purpose. Luckily, there are a couple of things you can do to make time go faster. Clean out your biggest cupboards first. You can place boxes and other packed objects in there and those cupboards may just be full of clutter as well. So after you have cleaned the cupboards, continue with sweeping and cleaning down the insides and then use those cleaned areas for the boxes you're not using now and won't use right until after your move. A couple of weeks just before the move, you can start doing a few packing here and there. Start with the things that you barely or never use any longer. If your kids have old toys and clothes that they don't use, you may need to start getting rid of them ahead of time. It may be pretty tough to sneak out their favorite outgrown items while they are not looking. Space usually wins over sentimentality when you are doing your packing. But if there's a thing you definitely want to keep, make certain you're keeping it for a really valid reason. I highly advise that you mark your boxes. You do not want to spend as much time you used when packing after you get into your new house to unpack.
