The Reasons Alcohol Is Unhealthy

The current trend now a day is that alcohol is the cool thing to do if you want to feel like an adult. It can make you fit in with your peers while giving you a sense of ease and false security. Many people drink alcohol during special events or during times of depression. Either way there are several different reasons alcohol is unhealthy for you.

For one it is a poison to the body and consuming it in large quantities can create some very hazardous risks. It is a depressant that gets absorbed into the blood stream through the stomach and then is later metabolized through the liver. The liver itself can do this when it is in small amounts but excessive amounts will continue to circulate through the blood stream stressing the body.

One of the results when you are consuming it is that it will affect your sociability with around others. Although it is known to add courage and ease to the drinkers mood, these effects are temporary and pale in comparison to the negative side effects it produces. The person may also become hostile while intoxicated as well as extremely careless in sometimes very dangerous situations.

Another way it is unhealthy is by what it actually does to the human body. Not only is it a poison but it also warps the thought process and causes damage to the liver and increases the chance of different digestion problems as well as other diseases such as osteoporosis. It also promotes the chances of other diseases such as coronary disease and increases your chances of having a stroke.

It may even be linked to increasing the chances of getting certain types of cancer as well. Drinking it also gives the user the feeling of dependence which can be quite severe in most cases. The uses will feel very weak or unable to think without worry about when they will receive their next rush of alcohol in their system. It is quite similar to having a nicotine addiction as with smokers.

Even though the human body is durable and made to handle many conditions which may become severe, the effects of drinking abuse can actually control and enslave its consumer. The longer and more you drink, the more it becomes a dependency affecting you and everyone around you. A common condition from too much alcohol consumption is the development of alcohol hepatitis as well.

It is developed in the liver when it is damaged from too much drinking and is far more prevalent in women than it is in men who drink. It is more associated with heavy drinkers but can occur in moderate drinkers as well.

The liver becomes swollen when someone has it and it must be treated immediately and accordingly because if consumption of alcohol is continued to be consumed it may lead to the person death due to the increases substantially.

To many people, drinking may have it thrills, its rushes, and its feeling of freedom but more than often these temporary feelings are followed by the long term effects. If it is not taken into account it will surely lead to sadness, depression, and dependency which can last your entire life time.
