How to Make a Veil for Over a Bed
- 1). Spread the fabric out.
- 2). Pick the fabric up at the center point using the tips of your fingers.
- 3). Gather the rest of the fabric in the other hand and create a giant knot by threading the center point through the rest of the fabric. The knot should now hang from the center point of the fabric.
- 4). Manipulate the knot until it is the size and tightness that is attractive to you. The rest of the fabric should hang fairly evenly from all around the knot.
- 5). Cut a small neat slit in the center point, at least 1 inch from the top, just large enough for the ribbon to pass through. Do not cut the top out.
- 6). Thread the ribbon through the slit.
- 7). Affix the hook to the ceiling above the bed at the desired point.
- 8). Hang the veil by adjusting the ribbon to create the desired length and location of the veil over the bed. The ribbon can be tied in a bow or left with strings hanging.
- 9). Allow the fabric to flow evenly over both sides of the bed.
