How to Clean a Jenn-Air Electric Stove Oven
- 1). Review the Jenn-Air appliance's front display panel to ensure the oven is off. Open the oven door. Check for hot air flowing from within the oven. Only begin cleaning if all oven elements and racks are completely cool.
- 2). Remove the metal racks from the oven. Wipe the racks with a sponge dampened with standard glass cleaner solution. Alternatively, use Jenn-Air's All-Purpose Appliance Cleaner solution, available for purchase directly from the company by calling toll-free (800) 536-6247.
- 3). Soak the racks to remove baked on food that cannot be removed with the sponge and cleaning products. Fill your sink or a large container with one part vinegar and one part water. Submerge the rack in the solution. Let soak for 30 minutes, or until the baked debris can be removed.
- 4). Wipe the interior of the oven with the sponge and cleaning solution. Focus on the bottom of the oven's cavity where food is most likely to spill and collect.
- 5). Turn on the Jenn-Air electric oven's self-cleaning mode. Close the oven door. Press "Clean" on the oven's front control panel. Push the "Autoset" button. "Medium" will flash on the oven's display screen. Press the button again to select "Lite," "Medium" or "Heavy," depending on how dirty your oven is. After four seconds, the Jenn-Air oven will begin the self-cleaning cycle. During this time, the oven door will automatically lock.
- 6). Open the Jenn-Air oven's door when self-cleaning is completed and the oven door has unlocked. Slide the metal racks back into the oven and resume standard oven use.
