How to Wire Snowmobile Decks

1). Remove the screws which secure the left rear taillight to your truck and remove it from its socket.
2). Turn the vehicle's ignition to the position where the power is on but the engine is not running. Activate the vehicle's marker lights with the headlight switch.
3). Connect the alligator clip on the 12-volt test light a ground location near the left turn signal. The truck uses its body for a universal ground so any bare metal with work.
4). Probe the left turn signal's bare wires for the power source for the marker lights. The test light will illuminate once you have found the correct wire.
5). Connect the positive wire from the snowmobile deck to the power source for the marker lights with a scotch lock connector. Place one wire in each groove of the connector and close the gate. Connect the negative wire from the deck to a ground connection at the light (see Resources).
6). Wrap the connections in electrical tape and secure the loose wires with cable ties.
