How to Make Corsage Pillows
- 1). Lay the fabric of your choice on your work surface and cut out a rectangle for the pillow. Make the rectangle about 10 inches wide by 20 inches long for a small square pillow or 14 by 38 inches for a medium-size square pillow. For a large square pillow, cut the fabric to 20 by 40 inches.
- 2). Lay the rectangle down with the good side facing upward and fold the rectangle in half to reduce the length.
- 3). Sew a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine up both sides of the fabric.
- 4). Turn the pillow covering right side out and stuff the pillow with the cotton batting
- 5). Fold the rough edges inward at the one remaining open end of the pillow covering and sew the pillow closed.
- 1). Cut the stem of the silk flower to about 2 inches and wrap it with green floral tape.
- 2). Cut the stems of the silk leaves, baby's breath and other decorative sprigs to the same length. Hold the stems against the silk flower stem and wrap the bunch with the tape.
- 3). Cut a piece of 1/2-inch-wide tulle ribbon about 10 inches long and tie a bow around the corsage stem.
- 4). Pin the corsage to the center of the pillow. Use a strong needle to sew stitches between the pillow and the tape on the corsage stem.
- 5). Repeat the steps above to make more corsages to add to the pillow.
