      Car shows are events that attract car enthusiasts from all over the nation. From classic hot rods to the latest sports cars, owners and fans alike come to these events to admire the display of quality and craftsmanship. Car enthusiasts in Corbin, Kentucky have plenty of opportunities to admire these vehicles. This small town deep in the heart of the Bluegrass State is home to several car shows that feature late model and vintage rides.

    Cumberland Cruise In

    • The Cumberland Valley Cruise In takes place in the heart of downtown Corbin and is an annual festival usually held between the May and September. The Cumberland Cruise In features a large number of vintage and late model vehicles that range from classic Plymouth Road Runners to late model Ford trucks. Automotive enthusiasts gather to swap stories about their vehicles, buy, sell and trade, and gain advice from other car owners. The event also attracts fans of cars who come to admire the craftsmanship and style of vehicles from days gone by, and there often are contest drawings with prizes available. As of September 2010, there was no cost of admission to attend the event.

    Boonesborough Boogie

    • The annual Boonesborough Boogie Nationals Car Show is held just outside the south of Richmond, Kentucky, which is just a 30-minute drive north of downtown Corbin. The Boonesborough Boogie Nationals, sponsored by the Southern Knights of Central Kentucky, is a major annual event that draws car enthusiasts from all over the state. The show typically is held in mid October of every year and offers plenty of regional food vendors, prize drawings and automobile competitions in addition to the cars on display. As of September 2010, the fee to attend Boonesborough Boogie Nationals was $2 per person or $5 per car load. Children 12 and under were admitted free. There also was a $15 entry fee for owners who wished to enter their vehicle for display.

    NIBROC Festival

    • The NIBROC Festival is an annual 4-day event that takes place in the center of downtown Corbin, Kentucky, and is sponsored by the City of Corbin and the Whitley County Department of Tourism. One attraction featured in the festival is a classic car show, where vintage cars and trucks are on display for the delight of car enthusiasts. Cars entered in the show include fully restored 1955 Chevrolets, vintage Dodge Chargers, early model trucks and custom motorcycles. The event also features food booths by area vendors and a number of free concerts performed by local artists. As of September 2010, the NIBROC Festival was a free event open to the public and there was no cost to attend.
