How to Braid & Sew-In Indian Hair

    • 1). Create a part along the nape of your neck. The part should extend from one side of your head to the other side.

    • 2). Braid the parted section. Use a bobby pin to secure the end of the braid.

    • 3). Create another part directly above the first braid. Braid the parted section. Use a bobby pin to secure the end of the braid. Repeat this step, as you work your way from the back of your head to the front. Leave a layer of natural hair untouched at the top front.

    • 4). Comb through the weave with a wide tooth comb to rid it of tangles. Hold the weave against the braid located at the nape of your neck. Cut a piece of weave to match the length of the braid.

    • 5). Position the weave track onto the end of the braid. Use a weave needle and weave thread to sew the track onto the braid. When sewing, use looping motions. When you reach the end of the braid, make a double loop to secure the track. Cut the excess thread.

    • 6). Repeat Step 4 and Step 5, as you work your way from the back of your head to the front. Cover the top track with your real hair. Use styling gel to blend your real hair into the weave.
