First month of the New Year has given us lots of news about celebrities and most of them were about 'pregnancy' and that is exactly the case with actress Kate Hudson as well. The 31-year-old star has been in romantic relationship with Muse singer Matt Bellamy for almost ten months and now they are expecting their first child together. Hudson was married to The Black Crowes' frontman Chris Robinson but their relationship ended on a divorce. She has a seven-year-old son, Ryder Russell Robinson, with her marriage to Robinson. Bellamy and Hudson are happy with the latest development in their lives but there are some reports claiming that they were not mentally prepare to have a child that soon in their relationship. "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star is fourteen-weeks pregnant and she hasn't yet personally commented on the authenticity of such reports.

Hudson gain worldwide fame when she played the character of Penny Lane in the movie "Almost Famous" in 2000 and she was critically acclaimed for her performance. She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for an Oscar as well. A source close to Hudson told reporters Bellamy and Hudson are delighted with this new chapter of their lives and they always wanted to have a child to strengthen the relationship. Prior to her relationship with Bellamy, she also dated the New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez and actor Owen Wilson. Hudson was praised for her acting in the movies such as "Nine," "The Killer Inside Me," "You, Me and Dupree," and "The Skeleton Key." Many other female celebrities including singer Jewel Kilcher, former Spice Girls Emma Bunton & Victoria Beckham, actresses Jennifer Connelly and Natalie Portman are in the list of mom-to-be this year.
