Stagecoach Founder Sinks $13 Million into Luxury Yacht Manufacturer Sunseeker

It seems that Stagecoach founder Brian Souter has a soft spot for luxury yachts, as he has invested around $13.8 million U.S. into luxury motor yacht manufacturer Sunseeker International. Hey, we at Imagine Lifestyles understand a love affair with luxury.

Sunseeker is reportedly undergoing a recapitalization, and Souter is a large part of it. A spokesman for the Scottish Souter revealed his entrepreneurial appetite for investing in manufacturing companies.

This makes sense because Souter also reportedly wants to see the UK become a large manufacturing nation once again. Sunseeker is certainly a world-brand, making it a great investment, in my opinion.

Luxury motor yachts will always be around, and people will always want the latest and greatest model. Epic battles are continuously waged to have the largest megayacht, most extreme luxury yacht charter, or most expensive yacht. The market for luxury boats and yachts is one that will continue to be profitable and exciting.

Souder is individually the largest shareholder at Sunseeker International. While he does not own his own luxury motor yacht, I feel confident that he has plenty of access to Sunseeker yachts when he desires a yacht charter. Ahh the perks are likely limitless.

The new lineup at Sunseeker will include Robert Braithwaite, co-founder, as president and non-executive chairman. Andy Macfie runs Souter Investments, and is joining the board of Sunseeker. Souter has more than 200 private investments, all managed by Macfie and his team.

Sunseeker is a global yacht exporter, employing more than 2,300 people in specialized design and manufacturing fields. This is a robust and renowned luxury yacht manufacturer who has been around for over 40 years, which makes it an investment that makes sense. Other investments of Souter's include Falkirk based bus builder Alexander Dennis and biodiesel plant Argent Energy. It seems Souder is truly into the transportation industry.
