LG Phone Charger Problems

    Check Your Phone

    • Plug your charger into your phone. If the charging icon appears on the screen, then you know that the charger is working properly. Most of the time when a cell phone can't keep a charge, it is because of the battery and not the charger. Keep your phone plugged in for about an hour and then disconnect the charger. If the charge took, then the charger is working properly.

    Examine Your Charger

    • Examine your charger cable for heavy bends, breaks or even bite marks from pets. If the cables inside your charger are "pinched" or severed, this will render your charger useless. You should wind up the charger cable neatly when you are not using it. This practice will prevent any breaks in the cable and prolong the life of your charger.

    Visit Your Provider

    • Contacting your provider is a good way to see if you have a faulty charger. Your provider will be able to hook up a different charger to your phone to help troubleshoot your issue. If your provider determines that your charger is faulty, they may replace the charger at no cost to you.
